i know you know

I Know You Know is based on the idea that humans are trapped in a constant cycle of enlightenment and reversion. We all know the truth of the universe but because it does not fit into our perception of the physical world, we keep forgetting. My art is meant to be a reminder of these truths. The goal is to use simple imagery to trigger a memory, that we are all connected, that there is more happening around us than we are able to perceive, and that all we need is inside of us already.

There is also a darker side to this phrase. Even though some people choose to ignore the ugly truths of the world, they cannot live in ignorance forever. It is a mantra for victims of abuse and injustices who are gaslit into thinking that what they know is not the truth. Somewhere in the back of their head, the perpetrators of these injustices know that what they are doing is wrong, even if they choose not to admit it to themselves
